About

Our CEO

Prof. Kebede Oli

Prof. Kebede Oli is currently the CEO of Landmark General Hospital, Addis Ababa, and Professor of Medicine at Addis Ababa University. He is also one of the reviewers of the African Journal  of Cardiology (2008 – present). Prof. Kebede has served as Dean of Faculty of Medicine at AAU, was the founder and head of the cardiology unit at Addis Ababa University (1988- 1998), Director of the Clinical Epidemiology Unit, Chairman of Editorial Board of Ethiopian Medical Journal (1990 – 2001), Director of Axum and Jimma Hospitals, and as a general practitioner. 

Prof. Kebede received his Master of Medical Sciences (MMed.Sc.) from University of Newcastle, Australia, as a Rockefeller Scholar. Prof. Kebede was a Fellow in Clinical Cardiology at McGill University. Among the awards he received the most notable ones are the Ethiopian Medical Association’s Award for best physician of the year and role model (2012) and recognition for special contribution for development and growth of Ethiopian Medical Journal (2001).
